Honeybrook/RPS advanced pipeline cleaning and coating technologies can increase pipeline flow efficiency as much as 30%. We can help design a program that can be administered periodically to maintain cleanliness and peak efficiency of pipelines.
Honeybrook/RPS offer the following services;
“INSITU” INTERNAL PIPELINE REHABILITATION AND COATING
Over time, internal surfaces of steel pipelines are subject to formation and build-up of aggressive corrosive deposits. These deposits attack and destroys pipe steel, creating surface friction that reduces throughput. Cost of treatment programs, such as inhibitors increases with pipe age as their effectiveness declines. Honeybrook/RPS proprietary internal pipeline coating technology stops internal corrosion. The process effectively cleans and coats long pipeline sections “insitu”. It can be used to rehabilitate existing pipelines or extend the life of new pipelines.
Simultaneous pigging and coating of pipelines in operation
Honeybrook’s cleaning and coating is a viable and cost-effective solution for maintaining the integrity of your pipelines. By providing a continuous protective lining through the application of a specially formulated epoxy coating using batch pig method after mechanical and chemical cleaning, not only can clients save their existing pipeline through positive internal corrosion prevention for a fraction of total replacement cost, but many additional benefits such as longer pipeline life, increased flow, reduced inhibitor cost, lower maintenance cost, product purity, and lower energy cost are derived from internal pipeline coating.

DragXTM IN-FIELD INTERNAL PIPELINE SURFACE TREATMENT
DragXTM is a novel surface treatment system which utilizes nano-technology to create a highly repellent, low-friction internal surface even on highly corroded in-service pipelines. It is effective at a fraction of the thickness of conventional coatings, while providing an extremely smooth, chemically resistant surface which reduces drag, prevents corrosion of the pipe, and mitigates adhesion and deposition of unwanted debris and impurities. DragX can be easily applied in-situ to corroded pipelines, valves, and other metal parts without disassembly or re-installment.
DragXTM is developed for the Oil & Gas industry and optimized for performance under extreme temperatures, pressures, and marine environments without deterioration of the product’s quality. Our technical support services and proven application techniques allow application over long pipeline sections requiring only access at the pipe ends.
DragX™ offers the following benefits:
Projected Surface Roughness of Pipelines; Untreated vs. 12 month intervention schedule vs. DragX Coating
DragX’s advanced hydrophobic properties can be used to increase the flow of pipes with drag-reducing capabilities, can be applied to surfaces for self-cleaning purposes, and be used as an anti-biofouling coating to reduce algae and mussel growth on buoys, boats, and other submerged objects.
